Escape into the mountains for a weekend of trail running over (Orthodox) Easter – April 7-9. Based in Prodromos, we will explore recently-discovered trails in the Troodos – and take you to parts of the mountains you have never seen before. One of the weekend runs will introduce the extra section that runners tackling the new Buff Troodos Mountain Ultra 105k race in September will be doing.
There will be also be a skills training session.
Option 1: 70 euros per person for two people sharing a room at the Berengaria Café, Bar and Restaurant, including all meals (vegans and vegetarians catered for) and logistical support during training runs.
Option 2: 58 euros per person for camping (bring your own tent), all meals (vegans and vegetarians catered for) and logistical support during training runs.
Option 3: 30 euros per person for camping, including 2 basic picnic lunches and logistical support during training runs. For this option you will need to bring your own food – additional meals can be purchased from the hotel if needed : breakfast (4 euros, dinner (10 euros).
SATURDAY APRIL 7:
5pm – Meet at Berengaria Café, Bar and Restaurant. Check in, settle in and get ready to run.
6pm – Evening run (5-8km)
8pm – Dinner at Berengaria, getting to know fellow runners, briefing for the weekend.
SUNDAY APRIL 8
8am – Breakfast
9.30 am — Trail running skills session (about two hours)
12 noon – lunch
2pm – Trail run of about 15-20km. During this session we will introduce you to the new 10km loop that runners doing the new 105km Buff Troodos Mountain Ultra race in September will be doing. Shorter run of about 10km also possible.
5pm – Time to relax with an evening drink.
7pm – Dinner, trail talk and briefing for the next day.
MONDAY, APRIL 9
8am – Breakfast
9.30 am – Trail run of 25-30km (shorter option of about 15km also possible). We will meet you with refreshments at least twice along the way. Route still being finalized but it will be along newly-discovered trails.
3pm – Picnic lunch.
The focus of the weekend will be on fun, adventure and improving our trail-running skills.
Trail running beginners are welcome – we will adapt the progamme and training runs to your level.
